Garden Lakes Families,  

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to a very exciting school year! As your Principal, I will work hard to continue the excellence that has become the tradition at Garden Lakes Elementary. Our goal is to provide an educational foundation that challenges each child to maximize his or her own potential. Here at Garden Lakes Elementary, we provide meaningful and memorable learning experiences that encourage students to do their best socially and academically. We work hard and celebrate our students' accomplishments!   

Parental involvement is an important key to the successful academic experience of children. I encourage you to be involved in school and classroom activities, join our PTO, volunteer through our Three for Me or WATCH DOGs programs, mentor, or simply drop in to have breakfast or lunch with your child.   

Here at GLES, we are known for building strong, positive relationships with our students and their families. I was fortunate to attend school here myself. I began my teaching career here in 1995 teaching first grade for a number of years before becoming Assistant Principal and now am honored to have completed my tenth year as Principal.   

I look forward to an exciting and productive year!
